Transaction codes and categories
The chart of codes every charge and payment is posted against.
Transaction Code Categories group charges and payments, and individual Transaction Codes carry the code and its description. Together they are the chart every posting in Transactions is recorded against, which is what makes the financial reports add up the way your accountant expects.
Both are managed under Settings → Accounting, alongside accounting periods.
